Jon has been part of the Westerners since becoming a host family in 2008. He later became president in 2018 after serving as GM from 2013 to 2017 and before that he served as the Babe Ruth Commissioner for New Milford Youth Baseball / Softball from 2008 to 2012. The New Milford resident organized the 2010 15 year old Connecticut State Babe Ruth Tournament and has overseen the operation, maintenance and improvements to the baseball fields in the town. Jon also served the town of New Milford from 2008 to 2012 as a member of New Milford’s Inland Wetland Committee, the last two as Secretary.
The Pitser's, originally from Muncie, IN relocated their family to Western Connecticut in October of 1997 from San Clemente, CA bringing their 1-1/2 year old son Jake with them. Second born Alex Pitser entered this world at Danbury Hospital in 1999 and they have resided in New Milford since.
